Awesome! A screenshot showcasing some work done on the video! Let's see if anyone can see three little tidbits that Michael himself didn't even notice at first! :D Nice effects on the helmets and shields too Mike! :)

Hopefully the Romans will pwn the Hellenes in this screenshot! :p :D

well each, splashes and blood wont come until we have a working particle-system, but at the moment other, more gameplay-relating things are more important, so that will be something for the beta-phase :)

Just to make sure everyone is aware: The video will be less than half the resolution of this screenshot. If we made the video 1600x1200, it'd be something like a gig in size. lol Just so everyone's on the same page. ;)

I think Michael is exaggerating a bit - it'd probably work alright in 30-40MB :). But it would take forever for us to render at that size, and video editing is awkward when you have 8GB input source files, and the most important problem is that most people wouldn't be able to play it back fast enough. Ask us to re-render a high resolution version in five or ten years ;)

Awwwww, beauuuuuutiful, wooooow ... I'm in favour of the Romans, hehe ... and they shouldn't forget to slaughter those cowards on the north side of the river :)
(unpatiently awaiting the video)

Awesome to the max, screenshot. Quick question, will dead bodies float in the water? Is that something planned but not yet implemented? Or is that something just a little too advanced with the programs you'll be using?

Bodies don't float now, but I believe it wouldn't be hard to add and it might be good to do so. But then most of the bodies are wearing thick clothing and armour and shields and weapons - I'm not sure how realistic it would be for them to float like that...

As I said earlier Michael, a fantastic screenshot. And currently my wallpaper!

I'm betting on the Hellenes, as soon as the Spartans crash into the Romans running towards the left phalanx, it'll become very one sided. ;) Unless they use their cavalry to good use, hehe.

Looking forward to the video!

Depending on what you consider "super high end", you shouldn't do - it currently runs mostly alright on my three year old computer, just without the reflective water and with lower-quality shadows (because those are the two features that don't work on GeForce 3/4 era graphics cards), and we haven't spent much time trying to optimise everything yet.
