So who's excited for the movie? Still waiting to see if Jackson will direct, here's hoping! :(

There's a few details under "Film" in wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia....wiki/The_Hobbit

And the community that was devoted to brining the book to film: http://www.the-hobbit-movie.com/

And IMDB's page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903624/

Call me when they do a movie about Túrin. I just see too much potential for a cheesy movie about The Hobbit. Oh well, there's always hope.

Well, it's Tolkien and I'm going to go see it... unless it has an Eragon feel about it. (y)

I am really looking forward to this movie. I am a big fan of Tolkien's work.

Gandalf and Bilbo are being played by the same characters as in LOTR by the way.

The casting of Bilbo is still up in the air. Rumor is that James McAvoy is the front runner.

Well, I read that it was going to be the same Bilbo because he is meant to look the same age as he did when he was in LOTR, on his eleventyfirst birthday :). If he is no the same, it won't make sense.

Ian Holm is way too old. They might just make it so the adventure takes place earlier in his life.
