Ahh, nice. I think l like the word Ardennes more than Bohemian. Seems to be not far from your description.


Thanks for pointing out the stupid mistake :). I also fixed the major cause of the problem, which was having this.paths = [this.targetPos]; instead of this.paths = [[this.targetPos]];, this hopefully makes the check you corrected unnecessary but I have kept it anyway because belt and braces is probably better.

Its nice to know the map is helping fix bugs ;)

Actually I was hoping to learn a bit more about map generation and AI (I know these are two different things), so I may start by pointing out bugs :)
Sorry I don't have more time to test these things.

- Improved hill generation
- Changed name from Black Forest to Ardennes Forest

Unzip file, then put in : (Descomprimir el archivo, a continuación, poner en:)
0ad/data/mods/public/maps/random

mmayfield, I think everyone agrees that your map is a very good one and it is one of the planned original random map scripts. Do you want it to be included in next alpha as an official map? Of course we will give credits.

So do the last changes you want. Also starting player units now use a different code for generation. You can fix this if you have access to SVN version of the game. But if you don't, I can do it for you.

I have no planned changes for now (at least until the engine gets improvements for tree heavy maps).


I don't have access to SVN at the moment. Feel free to change the code yourself. It should be easy, I just copied the player starting units code from the existing random maps.

I'm wondering one thing: why did you surround the Ardennes with cliffs? I now it's not the incest place to live in in France, but still :)

Haha :) Just to add a border to the map really. I think it makes it look a bit nicer.
