I laughed out very loud! Kugelschreiber is, in my very german opinion, the only word that makes sense, because it's a writer("Schreiber") with a ball inside("Kugel") and Süßigkeiten are things(~"-keiten") which taste sweet("süß"). But how can one invent words like "candies" or "pen" out of nothing?

Webster says "pen" is from Latin penna, pinna feather and "candy" is... wait for it... from Arabic qandī candied, from qand crystallized sugar.

And "Süß" and "Sweet" share the same root, as both english and german are of the same branch (West-Germanic) of indo-european languages, and then the first took the Anglo-frisian way and the latter took the high germanic way down the path to their forms nowadays.

French here, fairly fluent in English, my German isn't too bad and I've got basics in Russian.

Norwegian, English, some Spanish (Had it for two years in school), a bit of French and a tiny little bit of Italian. Though Chinese and Russian is something that I want to learn, at some point

Heh. The longest attested word in the German language is "Donaudampfschiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän" (meaning: Captain in employment of the Danube steam ship company). And the fun thing is, you can add more words to make it even longer and still be grammatically correct.

So, yeah, I speak German (native) and English. I had a bit of Spanish in school, and I had Latin, so I have a fairly good approach to languages like Italian, Spanish etc. who are Latin derivatives. Same is true for Ancient Greek in relation to Modern Greek. I really speak just German and English, though.

Certains ne savent même pas la différence... Dès fois je désespère car les bases du Français ne sont même plus connues!

Je parle un peu Anglais (mais pas très bien: Bi-cause aïe s'pique véri goude inegliche! M'ail dear), j'ai fais aussi un peu d'Allemand, et du Latin, mais je dois avouer que je suis un peu rouillé!

I wouldn't say I'm fluent (I took just over two years), but I know Arabic. I can read biblical Hebrew and Aramaic decently, but that's ancient language. I know some Greek, French, and Spanish too, but I'm far from an expert.

-What i couldn't say in Spanish: I speak English, with a good amount of Spanish under my belt as well. However, i have a brother who is fluent, and speaks an accent most Mexicans love to hear :3 so i have both languages available.
