Of late I've been looking at all the different forums on the boards, ones I usually don't go to and such, and I became interested in some of the older stuff. On the website it said that "Dire Wolf" was the founder of Wildfire Games, er studios at the time, but I've never seen that name on the forums (although I suspect it's Dire Resurrected). Would it be possible on either the forums or the website to make a fairly extensive history of WFG? I'm extremely interested to know it's roots and who's still around doing what.

Yeah there seems to be a spark in the interest in this as of late.

I'd suggest checking out these pages:

http://www.wildfireg...ges/about.shtml
http://www.wildfireg.../tla/about.html
http://www.wildfireg...ewforum.php?f=3

Its a pitty HG deleted our old UBB forums, because that is where the majority of our history lies. I didn't know now, but I could have asked them to at least give us a database of them so we could someday convert them to our current forum type.

If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them. Perhaps you could assemble the information you gather and write that all inclusive history of WFG :indifferent:

Yep your right! Dire_Wolf is Dire Resurected (Andrew).

Insurrection???

May I dare to ask what has happened with that project. A GI Joe mod for Renegade. Jeez, how does someone come up with that :)?

"Christopher was always much concerned with the consistency of the story and on one occasion ... interrupted: 'Last time, you said Bilbo's front door was blue, and you said Thorin had a golden tassel on his hood, but you've just said that Bilbo's front door was green, and the tassel on Thorin's hood was silver'; at which point Ronald exclaimed 'Damn the boy!' and strode across the room to make a note."

Legal problems IIRC. I wasn't part of the team however, but I was on TLA when it happened and it really brought a scare to us.

You can read the old threads that are visible, but not the passworded forums because their bot couldn't crawl that.

What really surprises me is that it's now over two years since we did the trailer... shows on one of the Old Forum snapshots, where someone comments on how it in some ways beats the trailer for Rome: Total War. And of course, Kristo was there right away to tell us how it sucked... great stuff! ;)
