For my Institutions and Traditions Class my instructor has asked me to conduct interviews about Divorce and Marriage and when I mentioned the possibility of getting interviews from off-US he found it quite interesting...

So if you wanna help me out, you can take the interviews below (either reply in this forum, PM me, or E-mail me at elfthehunter@gmail.com depending on how much privacy you want).

The Hunter’s servants held the dark green gem,
They worshiped it as the Hunter’s Eye,
A Helm of silver-white was forged by them,
And a prophecy that murderers would one day die,
Upon the brow of Hunter’s Helm was set the Eye,
Wars and battles were fought by elves and men,
And the Eye was deemed too powerful for the open sky,
Tombs were built within the Deep, the Eye was carried to one of ten,
And there, buried for many years it shall remain,
Until the day its power, the Hunter’s Son shall gain.

(;)

Name: David B.
Location: France
Married for: 3 years

1.) What is the most important aspect of marriage?
probably trust. Well, there is love as well, but that seems too obvious ... one cannot (or should not) marry somebody who is not loved ...

2.) What is the single most important attribute in a partner that leads to a successful marriage?
understanding/tolerance. When you get married, you have to get along with many things you were unfamiliar with ... your spouse may have a different religion, different beliefs, traditions, etc ...

3.) Do you typically argue? About what topics?
not really ... often tease one another ... but no real arguing ... not yet ;)

4.) Tipically how are conflicts settled?
typically, small arguments are settled via corporal exchanges ... :) ... or apologies ... but my wife and I are strong characters (even stubborn sometimes), so we do not recognize our mistakes easily :(

5.) What advice would you give for young couples?
Well, it is difficult to givbe advice because I think marriage is different for every couple ... If ever I have to give advice, here it is ... do not ask for divorce at the first difficulty. Things often settle down easily without judicial help

I hope this fits you ... hope it helps too ...
Curu.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED

Name: Nathanael Barbettini
Location: United States

1.) Do you plan on getting married?
Yes.

2.) About what age do you plan to get married?
Late twenties, or later - whenever God brings the right person into my life. No sense in rushing the whole thing; I want to make sure I'm all set (financially, etc.) before I marry.

3.) What are the motives that you want to get married for?
Because marriage is something God created, and because I have such an awesome example of marriage (see below).

4.) Have you had positive or negative experiences with marriage?
I've had very positive experiences - my parents have an amazing marriage.

5.) If you got married, do you plan to stay married for life?
Yes. I can't really imagine not staying married for life - "till death to us part".

(Mine is strikingly similar to Paul's :))
