Why would that deserve a new topic?

Anyway, are those fractals on your avatar?

Congrats!
:)

Now I'll have an easier time recognizing your posts. (I generally look at the avatar first.) :)

@Argalius: That's a fractal... he likes fractals quite a bit.

Ah - I knew I wasn't the only one around here that did that. :) A while back I made a poll regarding this, but most people said they recognize people by their nickname. Personally, I glance at the avatar first, out of habit, and unconciously memorize everyone's avatars. Then, when people insist on changing them, my brain revolts ;)

What type of fractal is that?

I was going to use a Mandelbrot, but I thought I'd try something different and use a different sort of Julia Set (can't remember what it was). I was particularly lazy and didn't do anything to make it look nice, but oh well.

btw: I look for avatars first also :)

A Fractal is a set for which the Hausdorff-Besicovitch dimension strictly exceeds the topological dimension.

That's an entirely useless explanation :)

There's a song named Mandelbrot Set (from here), which is less technical but slightly easier to understand :)
