How are things going with Erik Kennedy and Chris Cull?
Are you doing any vocalist music (I strongly suggest it - excellent examples are Evenstar, by Howard Shore, and The Maiden, from Stronghold)?

Yes the composition has started, and it's been going for a while now.
Although I personally have other commitments for composing right now, we already have a good number of MIDI sketches that will be refined, added to, and improved before they are transferred to MP3 soundtrack game files. We have a unique system of tying the pieces together. Motifs (is that the plural of motif?) from the main theme will be found in other tracks- including the peace and war tracks for each "civilization".
A new idea called "age tracks" will be implemented. For each age, there will be one track that may play during a game in that age, no matter what civilization you play as. They will reflect the general feeling of the age.
As for vocal music, choral music would be more dramatic than solo voices, and since we're looking for MP3 quality here, vocal work may not fly particularly well. Anyhow, we're always open for suggestions on anything- instrumentation, new ideas for music, inspiration, etc.
So I can't say everything here, but when you guys start hearing MP3's, you will not be dissapointed

It may be "motives", but I'm not exactly sure. (see http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Leitmotif)
Can't wait to hear the music in a final form!

In my non-expert opinion, both Jess' voice and compositions have an extraordinary ethereal and out-of-this-world quality that could suit some of the civs in the game

File 2 - Nin.mp3

I'm at a loss of words with which to describe those. I can especially envision a like composition of the second file to be corrosponded with Uinen, Lady of Waters.

And because of that, I can't offer any judgement, but it appears you guys like them
Hopefully I can offer you some samples of what music in TLA might sound like, but I'm 3 feet (1 meter
And I'm not at all against having anyone else on the music dept. After all, I'm just a concept musician as it stands, and I'm a busy guy.
So anyhow, keep finding new stuff, it's good to see such enthusiasm, and hopefully the files will play on my computer next time

If you follow the link you come to a page with a button saying "Download file". If you push that you come to another page with a small globe on it with small blue text saying "Download file" beneath it. Click that and it should start sending you the file.

What programm are you using, eken?
'Shouldn't we send him a message and call in his help?' Erestor asked. 'It seems that he even has control of the Ring.'
'No, I shouldn't say it that way,' Gandalf said. 'Rather say the Ring hasn't got control of him. He's his own master. But he can't change the ring, nor break the power it has on others.'
No, my name isn't wrong, it's just a combination of Mithrandir and Mithril: look and see: MITHRandI(L/R)
