One of the trade-offs, of course, in making any strategy game, is the level of depth and complexity versus the time it takes to play it. TLA is an RTS, and RTS games, categorically speaking, tend to play out in minutes or hours, unlike TBS games, which can go on for days.
What is the pace of TLA intended to be like? Will it be a heart-pounding, adrenaline-rushing game demanding quick reflexes and a quick mind as well as a thorough one, or will it be slow-moving enough for the player to be able to sit and think about what is going on 'behind the scenes'? Or will there be speed settings, which will allow the players to choose (or even adjust, fast-forwarding through the 'boring' parts, whatever the player may decide these are)?

This is currently under discussion but i think we won't go for the lightning-reflexes *click-click-click-click-click-click* style rather *click-click think click-click*.

Couldn't one have both? I'm thinking of R:TW where one makes the most strategic decisions when it's turn-based (world map), and quick handling in battles.

'No, I shouldn't say it that way,' Gandalf said. 'Rather say the Ring hasn't got control of him. He's his own master. But he can't change the ring, nor break the power it has on others.'
No, my name isn't wrong, it's just a combination of Mithrandir and Mithril: look and see: MITHRandI(L/R)

@Loonis - all this will be revealed shortly - i'd say your guess isn't too far off the mark

And how quickly will buildings build? As fast as they do in AoK, or as slow as in American Conquest?
