Economic Overview

The surrounding areas of Bree are mostly woodlands, while the cleared areas surrounding the roads are used for farming. Bree even features a small pipeweed economy, though no match in quality and quantity to that of the Shire. The following resources are produced by the Breelanders:

Commodities:

  • Gold

Goods:

  • Pipeweed
  • Ale (Bonus on production)
  • Wool
  • Leather
  • Grain

Political Alignment

Neutral: High Elves, Woodelves, Northmen, Ents, Eagles, Beornings, Avari, Dorwinion, Drúedain, Esgaroth/Dale
Hostile: Forces of Evil, Harad/Umbar, Gundabad, Balchoth/Wainriders, Isengard

Military Overview

Bree has no organised military force. The township of Bree is surrounded by a deep ditch and a hedge. The East-West Road passed through this hedge at the western and the south-easterly side. Each of these points was guarded by a gate, that were manned after nightfall.
