Sentinel
Heavily
armoured and wielding a tall, deadly spear, the Noldorin
Sentinel is a devastating infantry unit. Most useful
against cavalry, Noldorin Sentinels can thrust their
live-quenching weapons into a charging enemy line with
stalwart discipline. In fact, the very fact that Sentinels
train to be so disciplined and rock-solid against overwhelming
odds gave rise to their name, Sentinels, as we call
them in the game, though to other Noldor in the literature,
they are simply warriors armed with spears .

Soldier
The
mainstay of the Noldorin army line, the Soldier wields
a finely-crafted Noldorin longsword and sturdy shield.
The Noldor in Tolkien's writings are renowned for their
skill with the sword among elves (the other two kindreds,
Vanyar and Teleri, being known respectively for their
skill with spears and bows). First of the elves to learn
the art of war, the Noldor have had millennia to hone
their weaponmaking skills and training regimens. As
a result, the Noldorin soldier is perhaps the most skilled
and advanced regular offensive infantryman in Arda and
thus in TLA, the game.

Archer
Though
their Telerin cousins hold the undisputable place as
masters of the bow in Tolkien's Arda, the Noldor are
by no means unaccustomed to the discipline of archery.
In fact, Duilin, Lord of the House of the Swallow in
Gondolin, may have even been a rival in bow with Beleg
Cúthalion. The standard Noldorin Archer shares
the elven archery skill, Keen Eye, which allows him
to focus his gaze far away, narrowing his range of vision,
but extending it to greater distances, allowing him
to target enemies farther away. This skill is necessary
for targeting units over walls rather than simply dropping
arrows in an area. His "Volley" skill allows
him to simply launch arrows into the air and drop them
around a target area. This skill is especially deadly
when employed by a large group of archers.
Abilities:
Attack (Ranged), Volley, Keen Eye, Garrison, Flaming
Arrows

Rider
The Noldor of the First Age especially were known for
their outstanding mounted troops. Among the Noldor Maedhros
and his Himring cavalry were known for their swift horses.
Indeed, Maedhros gave to King Fingolfin and his son
Fingon several horses sired by steeds of Valinor, and
thus the speed and strength of the Noldorin cavalry
became nearly unmatched. TLA's Noldorin riders are melee
units, wielding shining steel spears capped with flowing
banners of blue, gold, and silver. A Noldorin cavalry
charge into a horde of Morgoth's pitiful brood would
be a dreadful massacre indeed.

Mounted
Archer
The ranged counterpart of the Noldorin Rider is the
Mounted Archer. possessing both the offspring of Valinorean
stallions, the riding skill common to all Noldoli, and
the best of bow skills outside of Doriath, the Noldorin
Mounted Archer is a fearsome tactical force. A group
of Mounted Archers is perfect for racing across the
plains to chase after enemies armed with spears or pikes,
or for a quick hit-and-run ambush on an enemy camp.
Like their dismounted counterparts, Mounted Archers
can use their Keen Eyes to launch arrows deep into enemy
territory.
Abilities:
Attack (Ranged), Keen Eye, Flaming Arrows

Lord
No force of light in Middle-earth is more powerful than
a Noldorin Lord. Possessing the blood of kings, the valour
of heroes, and unparalled prowess in battle, the Noldorin
Lord possesses all the brilliance of jewels on the battlefield,
riding above the fray both physically and in spirit, mounted
on the backs of white stallions, princes and kings among
the horses of Valinor. Lords wield swords crafted by the
finest of Noldorin and Dwarven smiths - some would even
claim Noldorin Lords wielded Telchar of Nogrod's masterwork
weapons. Besides being the best Noldorin fighter sans
leaders and heroes, Noldorin Lords can rouse their troops
with the triumphant blast and call of a silver horn. The
clear ringing over the field of battle will raise the
morale of all around him, inspiring great feats.
Abilities: Attack (Melee), Horn of Valour, Carry
